Tom King is a 20 year veteran of the New York City Fire Department. In the fall of 2001, Tom became a lead instructor at the NYC Fire Academy where he was responsible for the safe and effective instruction of nearly 3,000 FDNY recruits during his tenure. He was later assigned to the FDNY’s Special Operations Command where he received a wealth of specialized training, including emergency response to domestic terrorist threats. Tom was involved in advanced classroom and live field training in biological, chemical, radiological and high energy attacks. Tom also served as a member of the FDNY’s citywide HazMat response unit and is well qualified in risk assessment and management of hazardous materials incidents. Tom brings this and a wealth of other experience to his position with Croker.
