A career defined in safety and education, Steve Swan has dedicated half of his life to public service. During his 20 years with the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Swan served in many capacities including his assignment on the Special Investigation Unit (SIS) as he was handpicked as a member of a federally funded pilot program for Mayor Giuliani, where he performed surveillance, undercover and intelligence work to build federal felony cases. While with the Department, Swan was recognized for outstanding work on numerous occasions, as he became the recipient of 53 citations for exceptional police duties.
Throughout his career, Steve Swan has gained professional training in areas including, but not limited to, riot control, terrorist operations, tactical procedures and investigative work. He is also CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certified.
Prior to joining the Croker team, Swan worked in the private industry as a Security Director with oversight of 38 buildings in New York City.
Steve Swan is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. He has also been a bodyguard for various celebrity entertainers.
