Keith Brown possesses thirty years of proficiency directing and implementing law enforcement and security programs. Combining extensive experience in the military, law enforcement and security, Keith brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. As a United State Marine Corps Reconnoiter Combat Specialist, he served a tour of duty during Desert Storm where his squad performed unconventional special operations to support Battalion units. He later embarked on a career as a Public Safety Officer where he successfully supervised and responded to numerous CUNY campus demonstrations. Brown achieved the rank of Lieutenant for the City University of New York, assigned to LaGuardia Community College.
Keith Brown holds numerous certifications including: Special Events Contingency Planning for Public Safety Agencies (FEMA), Incident Command System (FEMA), Surveillance Detection (FEMA), as well as many other accreditations from the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). He is affiliated with several professional organizations; a partial list includes: State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT), National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI), NYPD SHIELD, International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS), International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP) and National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA).
