George F. Beodeker is a 40 year veteran of Fire and Emergency Services and retired as Chief of the Lyons, NJ Veterans Affairs Medical Center Fire Department in 2008. Beodeker served on the Medical Center’s Emergency Management workgroup addressing emergency planning in accordance with JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations) and VA (Veterans Affairs) requirements. Among his responsibilities were inspection of community facilities under contract to the VA and review of their emergency plans. George Beodeker currently serves his home community of Delaware Township, PA as a Past Chief and current Training Officer of the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company. He was the Emergency Management Coordinator for the Township and member of the Pike County LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee).

Chief Beodeker holds an AA degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College, is nationally and state certified as a fire officer, instructor, HazMat incident commander and inspector, and possesses numerous certifications from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency).
