Since joining the Croker team in 2012, Edward Hynes remains well versed in fire and life safety codes, rules and regulations, as he conducts drills and training for both fire and non-fire related emergencies in buildings throughout New York City’s five boroughs.

Prior to Croker, Ed Hynes served twenty years with the NYPD.  Hynes was a member of the COBRA (Chemical Ordinance, Biological and Radiological Awareness) Team. Through the use of realistic, goal-oriented training, COBRA training keeps officers in the field aware of the current threats in terrorist-related activity and weapons of mass destruction.  With a strong record of integrity and professionalism, his assignments and responsibilities with the NYPD included, but were not limited to, the tactical response to large or violent disturbances, the coordinating of multi-agency response to various events, the protection of foreign consulates, as well as counter-terrorism prevention and response to terrorist events.

Hynes is an Ex-Chief of his Township Fire Department, where he has been an active member since 1985.  He is a graduate of the NYC Police Academy and holds degrees from St. John’s University and Nassau Community College.
