Bruce Silas has three decades of experience with the FDNY, of which 17 years were at the rank of Lieutenant. Among his experience, Silas was a Right-to-Know Officer and a Building Inspection Coordinator. Bruce Silas has been providing Fire and Life Safety instruction for the past 14 years. His background includes being a licensed NYC teacher and an Instructor at the NYC Fire Academy. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hunter College and a Master of Science degree in Education from Queens College.
