This combined course is for new Fire and Life Safety Director (FLSD) candidates who have yet to begin their FDNY certification (F-89).  This comprehensive course encompasses 31 hours of instruction, including fire emergencies (20 hours) and  non-fire emergencies (11 hours) (which includes EAP as well as Active Shooter and Medical Emergency Preparedness training).

This course is the first phase for new Fire and Life Safety Director (FLSD) candidates who have yet to begin their FDNY certification (F-89).  Candidates who take this course must also complete (or have recently completed) the courses for non-fire/EAP emergencies (7 hours) as well as Active Shooter and Medical Emergency Preparedness training (4 hours). 

Note: As of 2/1/2018, all 31 hours of course instruction must be successfully completed prior to a candidate taking their FDNY Computer Based Tests (CBT).
