Croker Fire & Life Safety Institute classes will guide, teach and educate you on the processes, background and understanding to properly perform the responsibilities of Fire Safety Director (for fire related emergencies) and Emergency Action Plan Director (for non-fire related emergencies). Our classes are affordable and insightful, are centrally located in the heart of Manhattan and have been highly recommended.

Croker, a leader in fire and life safety since 1911, boasts instructors of the highest caliber offering comprehensive knowledge combined with extensive experience and expertise in all phases of fire, disaster and emergency action procedures. With unique and diversified backgrounds, our instructors and in-depth course manuals will offer all students a broad scope and expansive awareness.

Upon completion of the course(s), students will receive an official Certificate of Completion from the school while gaining the confidence and strength of comprehension to be better prepared to handle fire and non-fire related emergencies. For Class "E" Office Buildings within the five boroughs of New York City, these FDNY accredited courses will also enable you to proceed accordingly in obtaining a FDNY issued Certificate of Fitness. Remember, to obtain a Certificate of Fitness, these courses are mandatory in New York City.

All classes are located in the Lower Level Conference Room - just off Healy Hall.
(Classes beginning after 10AM - Use 188 Madison Avenue entrance to gain access)
(Classes beginning before 10AM - Use 19 East 34 Street entrance to gain access)

DIRECTIONS:

Croker Fire & Life Safety Institute’s classes are taught at the New York Public Library at 188 Madison Avenue (between 34th Street and 35th Street; adjacent to the Empire State Building), offering an ideal location that is easily accessible from many areas throughout New York City (see below map).

Take the "B", "D", "F", "N", "Q", "R", "V" or "W" train to Herald Square (at 34th Street)
- Then proceed by foot two blocks east on 34th Street (to Madison Avenue)
Take the "6" train to 33rd Street.
- Then proceed by foot one block west on 33rd Street and one block north on Madison Avenue
Take any of the MTA buses that travel along 34th Street, Madison Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Park Avenue and/or Sixth Avenue.
